Maurice Dean George, age 69, of the Castlewood Community in Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Tues., April 5 [2005] at his residence.
A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late Walter Noten and Eula Belle Phillips George. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having retired after serving 23 years.
He is survived by his son Marty Dean George of Danbury, CT and Monty Dean George and his wife Christy of McCala, Al; a brother, Larry George of Athens, G.A.; sisters Polly Herrington and Maxine Barton, both of Birmingham, A.L., Evelyn Guge of Canton and Bonita Moss of Robbinsville. He has one granddaughter, Rachael Suzanne George of McCala, A.L.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Sat., April 9 at Bear Creek Baptist Church. The Reverend Dana Dockery officated. A burial followed at Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

!OBITUARY:
Edward Donel Gilbert, 73, of Edneyville, NC went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 1, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Black Mountain.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County and was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Dalton Gilbert and Burgeon Gilbert, brothers, Ervin Gilbert and Samuel Gilbert, a nephew and two nieces.

He loved going to the local auction every Friday and Saturday night but come Sunday morning you could find him on the back pew of In Jesus Name Church. He was in church every time the doors were open. He is now rejoicing in Heaven! He will live on in our precious memories we have of him and forever live in our hearts. He will be missed by so many.

Edward served his country in the US Marine Corps.

He is survived by a loving wife of 52 years, Sandra Gilbert; a son, Jeffery Gilbert and wife Rita of Hendersonville; a daughter, Sheila Gilbert Bousson and husband Dennis of Edneyville; three grandchildren, Amanda Gilbert Magnet and husband Charlie, Corey Bousson and Timmy Bousson all of Edneyville; three sisters and a brother all of Edneyville and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, April 4, 2013 at In Jesus Name Church with Pastor Dale Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the Henderson County Honor Guard.

Jeffery Dean Gilbert, 55, of Edneyville, NC went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at his home unexpected.
He was a member of In Jesus Name Church. He loved fishing and John Deeres. He was a loving husband, Daddy, Papaw, Son, Brother and Uncle. He was born and raised in Edneyville. He was born to Edward and Sandra Gilbert on January 30, 1964. He was preceded in death by his father, an aunt, Betty Gilbert Cole and several other loved ones.
He leaves behind a loving wife of 22 years, Mrs. Rita Young Gilbert; daughter, Amanda Gilbert Magnet and her husband Charlie; a grandson, Daniel Anthony Magnet; his mother, Sandra Stowe Gilbert; a sister, Sheila Bousson and her husband Dennis; two nephews, Correy Bousson and his girlfriend Hannah Holcombe, Timmy Bousson and his wife Miciah Bousson and several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
