I've researched all Wilsons in the region to some extent in the attempt to discover the family of my ancestor Mrs. David Carpenter. She is a presumed Miss Wilson born ca 1810/15 in Burke Co., NC, died ca 1839 in Yancey Co., NC or in Ashe (now Watauga) Co., NC.
