| 76751 | !NOTES:I don't know if I'm related to this family or not but I am interested in them. I've researched all Wilsons in the region to some extent in the attempt to discover the family of my ancestor Mrs. David Carpenter. She is a presumed Miss Wilson born ca 1810/15 in Burke Co., NC, died ca 1839 in Yancey Co., NC or in Ashe (now Watauga) Co., NC. My area of interest mainly includes Burke, Yancey, Mitchell, Avery and Watauga Counties, and some of their parent counties such as Buncombe and Ashe. I am not yet 100% certain Mrs. David Carpenter was a Wilson, but they did name their second son "Wilson Carpenter" so that strongly suggests Wilson ancestry.
